Is It Normal to Not Feel Love Right Away? (How Love Grows Over Time)
When I first saw her, my first impression was she was small, weak and had a lot of scars from previous experiences. Her trunk barely fit all of my junk, and her mileage looked quite high for her age. Once inside, she didn't feel that tight though, it was roomy enough. Getting used to her was a pain as well, nothing was where I was used to finding it. She reacted badly if I didn't do stuff in the order she wanted, and my existing accessories didn't fit her at all.
Since there wasn't any choice, I tried to make do and immediately had to turn back as i couldn't go anywhere without her cooperation. 10 euro for a 15 min detour but at last I managed to get something working at least partially. A shopping visit for a more appropriate accessory that fitted her got me in a better mood.
A week passed by, we got used to each other bit by bit. Cruising together was getting more enjoyable as I learned how she wanted to be handled. Her small frame meant she fit anywhere I needed her to go. She didn't ask for much .
Following weekend rolls around, and I take the decision to head to the mountains with her. Was a bit worried how it would make her fill but felt confident she could take it. Even so, on the harder climbing bits I monitored her temperature, but she didn't miss a beat. She wasn't the fastest, but we kept pace with most of the others. But there, on the shores of lake Como, It hit me. She was perfect for that job! I didn't need anything more, and even with others around me with flashier more expensive models they were doing the exact same thing mine was doing in the end. Sure, they were nicer to look at, but still, same effect.
We got up to Bernina Hospiz wihout any issues, and while driving around ST Mortitz and Lac de Champfer I enjoyed the experience she offered me even more; I'm probably sounding a lot like James May talking like that about the little FIAT Panda the Europcar girl gave me (what, you didn't think I was talking about a woman right? ).
May you find love!
P.s. the accessory was a mobile phone holder, mine needed a ventilation grille to clip onto and she didn't have one in the middle..
